OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The first weekend of November is looking gloomy and wet as the first of many rain showers will occur this afternoon. The morning hours are mainly cloudy, dry and cool. Showers and storms will begin to move into the far southern counties along the Nebraska-Kansas border shortly after noon. The storms will move northeast and affect the metropolitan area by mid-afternoon. The serious threat is LOW. There is a chance of a strong storm in the areas around York, causing hail and damaging winds.

There are also showers at all the college football games in the area, so bring a raincoat if you go to any of the games. Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s. Lows tonight will be mild in the lower to mid 50s with mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers.

There is likely to be a greater chance of showers early Sunday morning and late afternoon into the evening. Sunday will be calm and cloudy for most of the day, with highs in the low 60s.

Saturday through Tuesday we could see between 1 and 2″ of rain. Wednesday will be calmer with slightly lower temperatures.
