Police arrest two more men in connection with the Brampton shooting

Peel police have arrested two more men in connection with a fatal shooting in Brampton in August, bringing the total number of suspects to three.

Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a residential area on Millstone Drive in Brampton on Aug. 30, they said at the time. When they arrived, they found a dead man in a vehicle who had been shot.

Shortly before midnight the same day, police arrested a 23-year-old Brampton man and charged him with first-degree murder, according to a Sept. 2 news release.

On Saturday, police said in a news release that they have charged a 21-year-old Brampton man with manslaughter in connection with the shooting.

An 18-year-old Brampton man has also been charged with manslaughter. According to police, he was still a young man at the time of the incident.

Both men were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

At the request of the family, police are not releasing the victim’s identity, they say.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
