As part of Elon Musk’s push to vote for Donald Trump, workers were paid by his political action committee (PAC) to canvass for the candidate – but were reportedly threatened if they did not meet quotas.

In videos obtained by WiredMichigan agents contracted through Musk’s America PAC were seen riding in the back of a U-Haul van as its driver told them that if they didn’t bring in enough Trump voters, their motel house wouldn’t be paid for.

What’s worse, one of the people the magazine spoke to didn’t even know that when they signed up with Blitz Canvassing, the company assigned to knock on doors, that they would be working for Musk and Trump.

According to contracts that the recruitment agencies signed, which were also reviewed by WiredEmployees were expected to maintain an engagement rate of 17 to 22 percent during the campaign.

Translation: They not only had to make sure that almost a quarter of the people would open the door when they knocked, but also that they would convince that many people to vote for Trump.
