Male pedestrian dies in road accident in Armagh

A male pedestrian has died following a road traffic incident in Co Armagh. Police said they received a report of concerns for the safety of a man on Cullaville Road in Crossmaglen shortly after 11.50pm on Friday. Officers went to the scene and found a seriously injured man lying on the street.

The PSNI said CPR was carried out until an ambulance arrived, but the man was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Det Insp Michael Winters appealed for anyone who was driving on Cullaville Road around the time of the incident on Friday and saw anything or took dashcam footage to contact officers.

Cullaville Road reopened on Saturday.
