AG, DCI investigate shooting involving Rapid City officer

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley said the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Friday in Rapid City.

The suspect involved in the shooting is dead and no other law enforcement officers were injured.

After the investigation is completed, the DCI will issue a shooting summary.

This is the fourth officer-involved shooting in South Dakota in 2024.
