Spoiled CPS attempt to flush lead from school drinking fountainsCPS official credits a high school construction engineer with inventing a drinking fountain device that flushes lead, but doesn’t say he’s on a patent.

CHICAGO– Access to clean drinking water in Chicago public schools is a priority for top CPS official Robert Christlieb.

His attempts to solve this problem include installing an invention called Noah.

This device automatically flushes drinking fountains on a regular schedule to reduce lead buildup in standing water.

Christlieb publicly credits a high school construction engineer with inventing Noah, but does not mention that he is the co-inventor of the device.

CPS prohibits its employees from doing business with the school system.

The district would not comment in detail on whether Christlieb violated its policy.
