Troopers investigate fatal single-vehicle crash in berkeley co.

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle crash that left one person dead.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:20 a.m. Saturday on Cane Hoy Road near Cedar Hill Road.

Master Trooper Gary Miller said the 2002 GMC SUV was traveling west on Cane Hoy Road when it went off the right side of the roadway, lost control and overturned.

The driver was the only occupant of the car and died at the scene.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s name.
