Police: Woman arrested for suspected DUI, hit and run in Petaluma

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a Nixle alert from the Petaluma Police Department.

A woman accused of fleeing the scene of a crash in Petaluma was arrested Thursday, according to a Nixle alert from the Petaluma Police Department.

The crash was reported at C Street and Petaluma Boulevard South shortly before 9 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a driver with minor injuries and learned another driver had fled the scene, officials said.

The injured driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Officers conducted an investigation and discovered the suspect, later identified as Taylor Arnold, was inside a residence and showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and possibly a controlled substance, police said.

Petaluma officers determined she was the one driving the vehicle with other passengers inside when the crash occurred.

Arnold was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run and taken to the Sonoma County Jail.
