Driver charged with being disabled after crashing into tree | windsoriteDOTca News

A 30-year-old LaSalle man is seen crashing into a tree in the city early Saturday morning.

Police say it happened just after 4:30 a.m. on Divine Street, near Superior Avenue. The driver, the only occupant of the car, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

The driver was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to hospital for treatment.

He has been charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired, four counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of driving under suspension and transporting liquor in a motor vehicle.

His driver’s license was automatically suspended for 90 days.
