Columbia County announces lane closures on Wrightsboro Road

Columbia County recently announced that intermittent, temporary lane closures on Wrightsboro Road will be in effect next week.

According to a news release, lanes will be temporarily closed from Horizon South Parkway to Jimmie Dyess Parkway. The lane closures are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The province said it expected delays and would seek an alternative route if possible.

“Anytime you approach a work zone: slow down, allow extra distance between vehicles, pay attention to advanced warning signs, obey the flags of road crews and expect the unexpected,” the news release said. “If possible, plan an alternative route and/or allow additional travel time during this period.”
