Rockford man accused of murdering baby in custody in Georgia

(WIFR) – Rockford police say the 28-year-old man accused of killing a 10-month-old baby is now in custody.

Zashawntray Pickett of Rockford was charged with first-degree murder Oct. 29 after the death of a baby he reportedly knew.

Police asked for the public’s help in finding him, but announced on November 2 that he had been taken into custody in Atlanta, Georgia.

Pickett has that too six outstanding warrantsthe police said.
