UAE weather: red alert due to fog; speed limit lowered due to poor visibility – News

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) on Sunday morning warned motorists of poor visibility due to fog formation.

The weather department has issued a red alert and informed residents of deterioration in horizontal visibility, which may further decrease over some coastal and inland areas until 9:30 am.

In a post on Motorists are urged to follow changing speed limits, which are displayed on electronic information signs.

On Saturday morning the MET also published one red alert due to the foggy conditions.

Although foggy conditions were forecast in some parts of the country this morning, the weather today is expected to be generally fair and partly cloudy at times.

Humid conditions are expected overnight and will continue on Monday morning with the risk of fog or mist forming over some coastal and inland areas.
