Two children in critical condition, six others hospitalized after crash in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – Eight people were taken to the hospital Saturday evening after a two-vehicle crash in north Phoenix.

The accident happened near 39th Avenue and Thunderbird Road.

Among the injured are six children between the ages of 7 and 15. The other two injured are adults.

Two of the children are in critical condition. The other six people were also hospitalized but are stable.

Details are limited. Phoenix police are investigating what led to the crash.

Motorists should avoid the area as traffic will be closed in both directions.
