Reason why Ezekiel Elliott is inactive and hasn’t traveled with the team is raising eyebrows

The Dallas Cowboys headed to Georgia for a Week 9 showdown with the Atlanta Falconsbut there was one notable absence. Veteran running back Ezekiel Elliott did not make the trip.

Dallas moved on from Zeke and will make him a healthy scratch in Week 9 after starting last week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Elliott, who has clearly lost a step, has been ineffective when he has seen the field this season.

Last week, the Cowboys has signed Dalvin Cook from the practice squad. There was speculation that Zeke would be a healthy scratch, but a Rico Dowdle’s mysterious illness caused him to be sidelined against San Francisco.

This week, however, it’s Zeke’s turn to stay on the sidelines.

It will be interesting to see how he reacts to a healthy crab, so make sure you have your popcorn ready.
