Lucky Baskhar, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary, hit the big screens on the occasion of Diwali on October 31. Despite stiff competition from other releases, the film is performing well at the box office. Amid the positive response surrounding this film, social media is abuzz with speculation that the DQ star will soon make his digital debut.

Set in the 1980s, the film follows the life of a middle-class banker who is frustrated with his job as he struggles to make ends meet. Despite all his hard work, he is overlooked and even denied a promotion. One day he decides to take matters into his own hands and starts money laundering to make a quick buck. However, he becomes embroiled in a series of conflicts that turn his life upside down.

After earning Rs 11 crore on the opening day, Lucky Baskhar collected Rs 12 crore on the second day. The film registered an upward trend on its third day and grossed an impressive Rs 13 crore at the global box office. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 36 crore worldwide. Lucky Baskhar is expected to set the cash registers ringing on Sunday before its first weekend ends, with global sales ranging from Rs 47 crore to Rs 51 crore.

Meanwhile, the film clashed with several other releases at the box office, including Jayam Ravi starring Brother, Sivakarthikeyan’s Amaran, Kiran’s KA and Kavin starring Bloody Beggar.
