Israel ordered an evacuation in Baalbek, Lebanon, on Sunday and said it plans to attack Hezbollah targets in and around the area.

The latest evacuation call came as the army’s Home Front Command activated sirens at regular intervals along the border, while identifying dozens of projectiles reaching Israeli territory from Lebanon since Sunday morning.

“You are currently in close proximity to facilities and assets associated with Hezbollah, which the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will target in the near future,” Israeli army Arabic-language spokesman Avichay Adraee said in a statement. message on X addressed to residents of Baalbek and Douris.

Meanwhile, some 35 rocket projectiles were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel. However, the IDF said most of the rockets projected into the Western Galilee were intercepted, while some of them hit open areas and caused little to no damage.

According to the military, a separate launch of 25 rockets targeted the Golan Heights, all of which landed in open areas.
