OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – As we wake up this morning, light scattered showers continue to fall across most of the area, with heavier precipitation heading towards Des Moines. Dense fog is also reported in many communities, especially in Nebraska. A dense fog advisory has been issued for many counties in Nebraska until 9 a.m. Sunday. If you encounter fog, slow down and turn on your low beam headlights so other drivers can see you coming.

Daytime conditions will be similar to what Saturday was, with mostly dry conditions and gloomy skies. Here and there a shower cannot be completely ruled out, but the greatest chance of rain is again at night. Highs will be slightly warmer in the mid 60s.

Scattered thunderstorms are likely to develop after sunset tonight, with the possibility of one or two storms becoming strong. There is a marginal risk of severe weather over York Region, where damaging winds and hail are possible this evening.
