Raleigh shooting | Man seriously injured after being shot during a homecoming event near Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina

RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) — One man is seriously injured after being shot near Shaw University on Sunday morning.

It happened in the 700 block of South Person Street in Raleigh.

Police were called around 12:40 p.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. According to investigators, the victim was attending a homecoming event.

The man was taken to a hospital.

There are currently no suspects in custody. This is an ongoing investigation.
