11 TV Characters Who Die in ‘Dead Like Me,’ ‘Pushing Daisies’ and More Series Premieres

Television writers often save major character deaths for interim episodes of their shows (perhaps a heartbreaking season finale), but sometimes a TV character meets its creator in Episode 1.

The Show time comedy Dead like mefor example, ended twenty years ago on Halloween 2004, but the main character had long since died, dying in a freak accident in the pilot.
