Dundee 3-2 Kilmarnock: What the manager said

Dundee manager Tony Docherty confirmed substitute Julien Vetro fainted in the dressing room before kick-off.

“He fainted and was unconscious for a while,” the Dundee boss said.

“It was a real worry for the players to see that. It was quite worrying for a while but he’s been to hospital and they’ve checked him over and he’s back in the dressing room celebrating with his teammates.

“I want the players to get all the credit for their performance and their resilience for not standing still. If you look at Ziyad Larkeche’s attempt to score that goal from the halfway line, it’s just the desire to win the match with twenty seconds left.

“For the team to be 2-0 down at home and with the run we’ve been through, to show that character and mentality, I’m really happy. They deserve everything they get.

“We worked on a lot of things in this little run and it all came out on the field. They’re a hard-working group and they got their reward today.”
