Woman found dead in southwestern Minnesota after reporting domestic violence Saturday – InForum

EDGERTON, Minn. – The Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a domestic violence incident in Edgerton that left a woman dead and a male victim in custody.

According to a news release from the Pipestone County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch received a call reporting an assault at 800 First Ave. around 11:56 a.m. Saturday. W., Edgerton. When officers arrived, a male suspect was taken into custody and a deceased female was found inside the home.

The press release states that there was or is no danger to the public.

The Pipestone County Coroner, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, the Buffalo Ridge Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office are assisting with the ongoing investigation.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol assisted on scene during the initial response.
