Man killed in hunting accident in Kershaw County

KERSHAW, SC (WIS) – A man was killed in a hunting accident in Kershaw County on Saturday.

According to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, an initial investigation revealed that one person “suffered a gunshot wound” and died at the scene.

According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, the shooting happened along Flat Rock Road.

The coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the deceased person.

“The investigation is ongoing and we extend our condolences to the family of the hunter(s),” SCDNR said in a social media post.
