Cyclist killed in motorcycle accident

DAGSBORO, Del. – One person was killed in an accident involving a bicycle on Saturday evening in Dagsboro.

According to police, a Ford F-150 was traveling south on Dupont Boulevard at 6:14 p.m. when a man on an e-bike, who was also traveling south, attempted to cross the road and put himself directly into the Ford’s path. places.

The truck could no longer avoid the bicycle and the two collided.

The cyclist, a 79-year-old man from Dagsboro, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Delaware State Police continue to investigate the incident.
