Parts of the 110 Freeway have now reopened after hours of closure due to a fatal tanker truck accident

One person was killed and two others were injured when a truck rolled over following a multi-car crash on the 110 Freeway Saturday evening. The northbound lanes between Manchester Avenue and the 105 were closed for investigation and cleanup. The highway has now been reopened.

What we know: The multi-car accident was reported at 10.55pm on Saturday evening, with a tanker truck ending up on its side. The truck was carrying an estimated 8,000 gallons of jet fuel, and fire officials said between 500 and 1,000 gallons were spilled on the road.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The two people injured in the accident suffered minor injuries. According to fire officials, the tanker driver was taken to the hospital by a private vehicle and had no contact with the LA Fire Department.
