A burglary case in Gopal Pura village, Moth police station, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh is currently dominating the headlines. According to Local 18 Uttar Pradesh, two thieves stole a jhalar (a long thin strip of colorful cloth used mainly in India for decoration), lamps and cash worth Rs 20,000. The thieves stole these items from more than a dozen homes. As a result of these thefts, there was commotion in the entire village of Gopal Pura. Narendra Kumar, a native of Gopal Pura, said he kept Rs 20,000 to buy the car. According to him, the burglars stole that money. He said they also stole the jhalars and lamps installed on many houses. In addition, they also robbed the peanuts placed in a tractor cart outside a house. Narendra Kumar said the robbers kept these peanuts in a bag and took them away.

This robbery committed by the thieves was captured by a CCTV camera installed in the village. In the recent update, the residents of Gopal Pura have caught one of the thieves involved in the crime. The arrested robber held his ears and apologized for his action in front of everyone. However, before the police arrived in the village, the thief managed to deceive the people and escape. The victims have submitted a letter of complaint to the police demanding action be taken against this incident. Circle Officer of Moth Police Station Harimohan Singh said that based on the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered and the search for the suspect is on.

The CCTV camera was functioning properly and therefore the locals were able to identify the thief by looking at it. However, despite being caught by the public, it is not clear how the robber Rajan managed to escape. Besides this case, many other theft incidents have also been reported from Jhansi.
