Fans react to the NFC North division race as it approaches the halfway point

LAMBEAU FIELD, Wis. (WBAY) – The Packers may have lost Sunday’s game for control of the NFC North, but there’s still plenty of time left before a true winner is crowned.

The Detroit Lions now reign supreme, with wins over Green Bay and Minnesota, but four of the Packers’ next eight games are splits, and the schedules for the rest of the NFC North look the same.

In a division considered the strongest in the league, that means nothing has really been decided yet.

The NFC North is the only division in football without any team having a losing record. That means the Packers, Lions, Vikings and Bears all have a good chance of reaching the playoffs.

But who is the best in the division right now?

Some people say it’s the lions.

“They dominated both sides of the ball. Attack doesn’t stop, defense doesn’t stop. They are well supervised. It looks like they have been bought in. Those guys are ready to go. They are ready to go,” said Vikings fan Levi Johnson.

Others think it is the Vikings.

“Find Jefferson as much as possible. It all comes down to Sam Darnold. Is this the real Sam Darnold, or the Sam Darnold who was on the Jets? So they’re going to need him to play as well as he’s been playing,” said Marc Jarman, a Packers fan.

And we can’t leave out the Bears, especially with Caleb Williams looking for a bright future.

‘He has shown a lot of promise. I even had a conversation with my buddy,” one Bears fan told us. “If we even get to the play-offs or the second round, I might paint my nails too!”

The biggest question of all is: who will be number one at the end of the season?

“When we talk about NFC North, it will be Lions, Packers, one and two. It should be Vikings three, Chicago four,” said Lions fan Brook Blohm.

“We lost to the Lions. Lions are probably the best team in the division,” said one fan.

“I don’t want to say it too loudly, but I think the Lions are the strongest team in the division,” one fan told us.

“As a Bears fan, we can go for two and whatever as long as those two wins are against the Packers,” said another fan.

If there’s one thing everyone we spoke to agreed on, it’s that the NFC North has a very competitive future ahead of it.
