Nissan TARMAC Muscle Truck Release Information

Nissan is ready to reveal his unique equipment Border TARMAC at this year’s fair SEMA show in Las Vegas. Developed in collaboration with Nissan Motorsports, Forsberg Racing and Nissan Design America, the TARMAC updates the Nissan Frontier PRO-X into a low-slung powerhouse built for the track.

The brainchild of Nissan Motorsports veterans Kevin Lutz and Paul Boyer, the TARMAC concept pays tribute to the muscle truck era of the early 2000s. Chris Forsberga renowned racing figure, leads the project, with his expertise and a touch of nostalgia, noting, “I haven’t built a lowered truck since 2003. It’s a cool return to a performance style that was largely missing.”

With a supercharged 3.8-liter V6, the TARMAC boasts 440 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, thanks to a custom NISMO cold air intake and performance exhaust. The sleek, carbon fiber-clad body rests on NISMO street suspension, with a fully adjustable coil-over system up front and a custom flip kit at the rear for a ‘slammed’ look. Stopping power is ensured by NISMO brakes equipped with two-piece slotted rotors and a unique dual caliper setup at the rear, allowing for drift-style braking.

Dressed in a striking Afterburn Orange, the TARMAC boasts a 4-inch wider stance, 20-inch carbon fiber wheels and ultra-wide Yokohama Advan tires. Inside, a carbon fiber steering wheel, Recaro seats and a custom handbrake complete the track-focused look. Guests at the 2024 SEMA Show can view the race truck in person starting November 5.
