Lilian Achieng’ Aluko had told her parents that she planned to spend time with her boyfriend in Kahawa West, but that was the last they heard from her.

Hours later, her body was discovered with stab wounds at her boyfriend’s home, leaving her family devastated.

“She left around 11am and told me she was visiting her friend in the Jua Kali area. She didn’t return until Friday when I got a call from an unknown number. The suspect George Mutegi has not been arrested. I’ve seen him, he came to my house twice. He is someone I know,” her mother Jane Akinyi recalled.

How Lilian Aluko’s family mourned her

Aluko’s brother, Shadrack Aluko, expressed sadness over her tragic end, calling her death harrowing and something he would not wish on anyone.

“It sounds like a movie. Because I have seen past events, I never thought this would happen to my sister,” her brother said.

Friends of the deceased also mourned her death, which they suspect occurred at the hands of someone she trusted and loved.

Police confirmed that Aluko suffered multiple injuries, including facial trauma and a stab wound behind her right ear, and recovered a knife believed to have been used in the murder incident. Her boyfriend, who is currently on the run, is the main suspect in the case.

As police launch an investigation into her death, the family seeks justice, determined to take responsibility for the untimely loss of their beloved daughter.

“I am heartbroken and devastated because her light was taken too soon. What we only wish is justice for her and we just ask Kenyans to pray for the Aluko’s family because it is not something very easy to deal with to go,” said her sister, Diane Aluko. , pleaded.

In other news, DCI detectives have arrested Hashim Dagane Muhumedthe prime suspect in the murders of three women in Eastleigh.

The arrest follows a 12-day search after his identification.
