Get a sneak peek of this year’s Starbucks holiday cup designs before they hit stores

Starbucks has released a sneak preview of the holiday 2024 cup designs, titled “Merrier Together,” ahead of their in-store debut, scheduled for November 7.

This year there will be four hot cups and one cold cup, which the coffee giant’s creative director Kristy Cameron claims are inspired by ‘moments of joy’.

“We love finding these authentic moments joy and coffee to inspire the creatives,” Cameron said in a press release. “Whether it’s growing coffee trees, roasting beans, toasting cups or glowing lamps – we wanted the warmth of our coffeehouse and the anticipation of share the red cups that arrive with our customers. and partner.”

The signature Starbucks green and holiday cranberry red appear in each of the warm cup designs this year, alongside fondant-inspired pastels.

“We’re really excited to go green this year. The jade green is so vibrant and bright, and we love how it references our brand colors in a way that brings a spark of joy to our holiday cups this season,” said Cameron. .

According to the design team, the designs are reminiscent of old-fashioned ornaments or peppermint candies, with a wavy motif inspired by the Starbucks siren. Each design also features a badge area where baristas can write messages.

“We call it the ‘siren wave’. It’s a beautiful little holiday decoration element that you can see on our signs and packaging, or as a gift tag on the back of our cups, as a place for baristas to write messages to our customers,” said Cameron .

“It comes almost directly from her hair shape, where we zoom in on our siren and our logo and play with some of the shapes and negative space.”

The theme ‘Happier Together’ is included in the 2024 holiday campaign.

“We kept thinking about the idea of ​​voices coming together, like our siren singing,” she said. “It feels musical in a way.”
