Work on the Looe Wall to close roads for seven weeks

A main route to a Cornish town and an adjacent road have been closed for seven weeks as work on a wall takes place.

This is what Cornwall Council has said work to stabilize a wall next to Polperro Road in West Looe was due to start on Monday and last until December 20.

The council said the work should be completed after a landslide on the road earlier this year and the closure was also expected to affect North Road during the same period.

A diversion has been put in place around the closures and school buses would still be able to access the route at certain times of the day, the council added.
