Man seriously injured in accident at Torquay Sainsbury petrol station

A pedestrian has been seriously injured in an accident at a supermarket gas station.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called at around 4:10pm GMT on Friday to reports of an accident on the forecourt of the Sainsbury’s petrol station on Nicholson Road in Torquay.

Police said the incident involved a car and a man in his 60s who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police added that the car driver, a woman in her 70s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries and investigations into the incident were ongoing.
