1 injured in stabbing in central Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is seriously injured after a stabbing in downtown Phoenix on Sunday evening.

Phoenix police responded nearby to the incident 16th Street and Indian School Road and found a man who had been stabbed. It is unclear exactly when the stabbing took place.

The man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said at the scene.

Officers arrived on scene early Monday morning and the search for a suspect is in full swing.

Eastbound Indian School Road is closed at 16th Street to State Route 51 as the investigation continues.
