‘WWHL’: Mia Thornton Shades Karen Huger for Taking ‘Zero’ Ownership Since Her DUI

Mia Thornton didn’t hold back during Sunday night’s (November 3) episode of Watch what’s happening live, where she overshadowed her Real Housewives of Potomac co-star Karen Huger for taking “zero” property after her DUI.

Back in March, TMZ reported that Huger had done so her car was declared a total loss in the event of a high-speed accident. The reality star was eventually charged with one count of driving under the influence and six other traffic violations.

The car accident is a hot topic in the Netherlands The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9, where Thornton feels that Huger has not taken full responsibility for her DUI.

When Thornton stopped by the Bravo Clubhouse, she made her position loud and clear.

Host Andy Cohen asked her to name the biggest lesson Huger learned from her drunk driving, to which she bluntly replied, “Don’t drink and drive.” Thornton also joked that Huger’s nickname should be “Let Me Hire a Driver.” Additionally, she stated that her co-star has taken “zero” ownership since her accident, shading her tendency to “deflect” when “confronted with daggers.”

Thornton recently stopped by DECIDER’s studio, where she continued opened about Huger’s actions since her DUI.

“I don’t understand why she doesn’t just say, ‘I made a bad decision and it’s OK because I’m going to learn from it and it won’t happen again,’” Thornton said. “Just get rid of it. Why are we still talking about it?”

‘But it is the lack of responsibility that I find really difficult to defend or support. That’s why you get the version of Mia that you see on the TV screen,” she continued. ‘You’re not going to deviate. We are going to hold you accountable. That’s what real friends do.”

Shortly after the accident, Huger released a statement claiming she was driving home after dinner when she saw another car heading straight towards her.

“I swerved to avoid the head-on collision, hit the divider and then a tree. I’m injured, a little bruised, but so grateful to be alive!” she said. “I did get fines, one of which was not related to the incident, which is understandable, but the most surprising thing is that the car that almost hit me just drove away!”

She added: “I would like to emphasize that it is important to understand your emotional state while driving and may this be a reminder to everyone to use their seat belt. My mother may be my guardian angel, but the seat belt has my life saved.”

Watch what’s happening live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10pm ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day Peacock.
