The runway of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport will remain closed for 3.5 hours per night for seven days from November 8 for maintenance work on the lighting system.

Flight operations at the airport will be closed from 1am to 4.30am every day until November 14, according to a press release issued by the airport authorities today (November 4).

“The closure may lead to changes in the flight schedule. Airport officials have been working with airlines and relevant stakeholders to adjust the schedules,” the press release said.

Airport authorities have urged airlines to inform passengers of changes to the flight schedule.

Passengers are advised to reconfirm their departure times with their respective airlines.

For real-time updates and assistance, passengers can contact the airport call center on 13600, the release said.
