Five teenagers arrested, charged with involvement in robberies

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Five teenagers are arrested after being involved in a robbery.

A 16-year-old boy was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, evading arrest in a car, evading arrest on foot, reckless driving and theft of property $2,500 – $10,000.

A 14-year-old boy was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, evading arrest on foot and theft of property between $2,500 and $10,000.

A 12-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl were each charged with evading arrest on foot and theft of property $2,500 – $10,000.

Officers responded to the robbery on Friday, November 1, just before 10:15 p.m. at Patterson Street and Mynders Avenue.

Officers were told the victim was walking when several suspects approached him.

According to police, one of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and demanded what was in his pockets.

The suspects then drove away in a dark-colored sedan with the victim’s phone, debit card and identification card.

At 10:17 p.m., officers responded to a carjacking at 3206 Poplar Avenue at East High School.

A black Kia Soul was stolen from the school parking lot at 7:25 p.m

At 10:23 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at a home on Bayliss Avenue.

Officers were told that suspects in a Kia Soul pulled up behind his vehicle in his driveway.

Three suspects walked up to the victim and tapped the window of his car with a gun.

The suspects then went through the victim’s car and took his wallet before driving away, police said.

At 11:27 p.m., officers responded to a robbery on Madison Avenue.

The victim told police he was walking down the street when a dark-colored sedan sped toward him.

The vehicle stopped and the rear passenger got out and walked toward the victim.

According to police, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and took his wallet. The suspects then drove away.

At 11:29 p.m., officers responded to a robbery on Mynders Avenue.

The victim told police that the suspects drove in front of his car in a black Kia Soul.

Three to four suspects jumped out and approached the victim.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim, opened the car door and demanded his wallet, police said.

The suspects took the victim’s money, phone, his car key and a gold ring and drove away.

At 11:40 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at Houston Street and Spottswood Avenue.

A man was walking nearby when a black Kia pulled up next to him.

The victim told police that two men got out of the car and walked toward him.

One suspect pointed a gun at the victim and the victim was assaulted, police said.

The suspects searched his pockets and took his money.

At midnight on Saturday, November 2, officers responded to an aggravated assault on Minden Road.

Officers were told the victim was pulling out of her driveway on November 1 at 10 p.m. when an armed man approached her car and pulled on the door of her vehicle.

According to police, the victim drove away from the suspect while he fired shots in her direction.

Police said the suspect was in a blue car.

The victim was unharmed, but officers noted that the damage to the car appeared to be gunshot-like.
