One dead in stabbing in central Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man died after a stabbing in downtown Phoenix on Sunday evening.

Phoenix police responded to a call of an injured person around 6 a.m 16th Street and Indian School Roadwhere they found a man who had been stabbed.

Police said the man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The man has not yet been identified.

Officers remain on scene Monday morning and are searching for a suspect. Police have not provided any possible suspect information.

Eastbound Indian School Road is closed at 16th Street to State Route 51 as the investigation continues.
