Radio presenter from Pa. reports on Jason Kelce’s Penn State incident: ‘He can’t spy on people’s phones’

Many have shared their reactions following an incident involving former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce during this week’s Penn State football game. And a Philadelphia sports radio personality recently shared his own thoughts.

Videos recorded by fans show Kelce walking outside the State College stadium, where someone approached him and shouted a homophobic slur about Kelce’s brother Travis.

Video of the incident shows Kelce grabbing someone’s phone and throwing it on the sidewalk, then picking it up and walking away with it.

It’s unclear from the videos if the person whose phone Kelce threw was the same person who shouted the slur, but Kelce clearly believed that and responded with “who’s the (expletive) now?”

The incident continued when that same person pushed Kelce to the ground.

All this was the reason for radio and podcast host Jon Marks share his thoughts on the incident on his X account.

“Kelce needs to realize that his profile as a player is higher than ever,” Marks said in his post on the social media website. “He makes a lot of money on multiple platforms and his brother could be marrying the biggest pop star ever.”

Marks continued to say that Kelce “can’t spy on people’s phones. He needs security to deal with this (expletive).

Considering that the former Eagles center was ultimately run to the ground in this incident, the idea of personal safety doesn’t seem unfounded.

While the incident included both a damaged phone and a physical altercation, it is unclear at this time if there will be any legal consequences for either party.

When asked for comment, a spokesperson for Penn State University Police and Public Safety said “the process is ongoing” regarding an investigation.
