TBI is investigating the fourth death at the Campbell County Jail since April

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said an investigation is underway at the Campbell County Jail.

TBI said officers responded to the jail Sunday morning for a reported death.

On Monday, the TBI released the name of the inmate who died Sunday: 52-year-old Mark Garner.

Garner’s body was sent for an autopsy, TBI said. At the time, the agency did not release a cause of death.

This is the fourth death at the Campbell County Jail that the TBI has been assigned to investigate since April.
