South Dakota motorcyclist dies in crash in New London

NEW LONDON, CT (WFSB) – A South Dakota man was identified as the victim killed in a crash in New London on Sunday.

Police said 45-year-old Curtis Barkdull of Sturgis, SD, was riding a motorcycle that was involved in a two-car crash.

It happened around 4.45pm near Colman and Vauxhall streets, near the entrance to a shopping centre.

According to police, everyone involved was injured. A total of four people were transported to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital.

The motorcyclist, Barkdull, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

There is no word on what led to the crash.
