Young man arrested for assault and rape of 60-year-old in Jabalpur |

Jabalpur: A young man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The incident was reported by the Majhgawan Police Station area.
The incident occurred on the night of November 1, when the 60-year-old victim was attacked in her home by a 24-year-old man who came in drunk. Police said the woman, who lives alone after the death of her husband 22 years ago, stated that the man entered her home around 10 p.m. and locked the door. After the incident, he reportedly fled the scene and threatened her not to reveal what happened.
The victim filed a complaint at the police station the next day, after which authorities registered a case against the suspect under various sections of the law, including assault. The police have taken the suspect into custody. TNN
