“In America, we have the opportunity to express ourselves by voting for our elected officials,” she continued. “There are many things that determine how we think or feel about candidates, but I truly believe that in the end it comes down to ONE issue that matters to you and determines your vote. For me it is REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH and the fundamental rights for women to to choose what happens to their own bodies.”

Curtis further explained what the election means to her as a mother with daughters.

“I am the mother of two adopted daughters and I respect their birth mother’s CHOICES to bring them to term and then place them in my care, but I wholeheartedly believe that my daughters should have the RIGHT to make that CHOICE for themselves, and that’s why I’m voting for @kamalaharris Kamala Harris, who will protect their rights. We cannot go back to the shadows as we were when reproductive rights were relegated to back alleys and unsafe conditions with fear and shame,” she concluded her message.
