Tallahassee police are investigating a drive-by shooting on Blair Stone Road

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee police are investigating a drive-by shooting that happened on Blair Stone Road Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred Monday around 1:45 p.m. after officers were dispatched to a shooting incident involving two vehicles, TPD said.

An investigation revealed that occupants of one vehicle began shooting at a second vehicle, causing that second vehicle to crash near the intersection of Blair Stone Road and Phillips Road, the police news release said.

Police say the victim from the second car did not suffer any gunshot wounds.

However, according to Tallahassee police, the vehicle was struck by several bullets and sustained damage during the crash.

The suspect vehicle immediately fled the scene before being located by police near the intersection of Tennessee and Monroe streets, police said.

Responding officers then conducted a high-risk traffic stop near Madison Street and South Monroe Street.

Police say six people have been safely detained for questioning.

At this time, it is unclear what led to the shooting, according to the TPD press release.

This is an ongoing investigation.
