Clovis police issue arrest warrants for two after a narcotics search

CLOVIS, NM (KFDA) – Clovis police have issued arrest warrants for two people after officials said they found several drugs and weapons at a home Friday.

Around 1 p.m. Friday, agents from the Region V Drug Task Force and the Clovis Police Department served a search warrant at a home on Belair Road near W. 21st Avenue after receiving tips about drug activity.

When officers entered the home, police said they arrested 44-year-old Ignacio Gallegos, 33-year-old Amber Martinez and one other person.

After searching the home, police say they found approximately an ounce of heroin, 14 grams of meth, several pills, including fentanyl, and several weapons.

Officials say an arrest warrant has been issued for Gallegos for trafficking in heroin, trafficking in methamphetamine, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Martinez for distribution of a controlled substance.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Gallegos or Martinez is asked to call the non-emergency line at 575-769-1921.

Clovis police say Gallegos and Martinez have not yet been arrested.
