It’s finally election day. While we don’t know who will win this razor-thin match, we do know if Vice President Kamala Harris becomes our next president, it will be because no men showed up.

Consider the early voting in Georgia: As of November 4, 2.2 million women had cast their votes, surpassing male voters by 27%. In North Carolina, 2.3 million women had voted as of November 2, compared to 1.8 million men. That may be why former President Donald Trump is revisiting North Carolina in the final hours of his campaign — even though polls show him leading in the state.

Higher female voting is important because these elections show the largest gender gap in our history. Men support Trump by eight points, according to Pew polling, and women favor Harris by nine points, a gender gap of 17 points. The gap becomes even wider when further divided by education level; College-educated women are 27 points lower for Harris, while non-college-educated men support Trump by 16 points – a difference of 43 points.

Why this big difference? Because, according to the New York Times, college-educated women are most concerned about abortion, while non-college-educated men prioritize economic issues above all other concerns. Women with college degrees tend to be better off than most Americans (though apparently none wiser), so inflation and the job market are less of a concern for them.

The bad news for Trump is that more women than men are registered to vote. In 2020, 89 million women registered to vote, compared to 79.3 million men. Moreover, women have been voting more often than men since 1980. Four years ago, for example, 68.4% of eligible women turned out to vote, compared to 65% of eligible men. Made that difference put Biden in the Oval Office? Probably, and it could happen again.

If men think Trump has a huge lead and that their vote doesn’t matter, they’re dead wrong. The last few elections have been decided on a piece of cake. In 2020, President Joe Biden won by just 45,000 votes; defeated former President Donald Trump four years earlier Democrat Hillary Clinton with an estimated 107,000 votes in three swing states, out of 120 million votes cast nationwide. This race seems just as close.

Gentlemen: If Trump is your choice and you think he has it together, think again. In recent days, reports have shown some troubling trends in early voting, as the polls and betting odds have shifted again, this time in favor of Kamala Harris. A shocking poll in the red state of Iowa showing Harris with a three-point lead is a major warning bell for the Republican party.

TRUMP SUPPORT AMONG YOUNG BLACK AND LATINO MEN INCREASES IN NEW POLL

Most surveys now show the race is a dead end, but they could be wrong. Remember, many expected a “red wave” in 2022 – voters angry about the open border and high inflation were expected to give Republicans a large majority in the House of Representatives and control of the Senate. It didn’t happen; the Republican Party captured the House by the narrowest of margins and Democrats continued to have a narrow advantage in the Senate. Embarrassed pollsters on both sides of the aisle took another look at their models and tried to explain how they got it so wrong.

The answer is simple: women, and especially white female college graduates, were motivated by the overturn of Roe v Wade by the Supreme Court to vote against pro-life candidates; where states put the issue to a vote, women showed up in unexpectedly large numbers.

This issue has not faded, even as numerous states, such as New York, have codified abortion rights into local law. Democratic candidates in the Empire State, seeking to unseat members of Congress like Republican Mike Lawler, are running dishonest ads claiming the Republican Party freshman wants to ban abortion nationwide. This is despite Lawler’s many denials and the fact that a national referendum on the issue is not even close to being a possibility. New York passed its own horrific “abortion without borders” law several years ago; the right to choose in the state is not an issue.

Kamala Harris continues to insist on abortion rights and lies to voters about Trump’s intention to ban the procedure nationwide. He has repeatedly stated that he does not have this goal, but Harris knows this is an issue that will drive people to the polls.

She’s right. Eleven states, including the swing states of Arizona and Nevada, have one abortion measure on the ballot; these proposals will help attract female voters, potentially impacting the outcomes of those swing states as well as the Senate races in Maryland, Montana, Nebraska and numerous other down-ballot contests. .

What is Trump’s best issue – the issue that will encourage men to vote? That would be the open borders and illegal immigrationwhich can rightly be attributed to Vice President Harris, who was put in charge of the border by Joe Biden. About twelve million people entered the US illegally under Harris’ watch, and she did nothing about it until the polls showed voters had had enough.

Illegal immigration drives down wages for lower-income Americans, costs blue cities a fortune, creates a national security risk, consumes housing and medical care, and drives up crime. The Biden-Harris White House encouraged and welcomed this flow of migrants, expecting those millions of people to eventually become Democratic voters; it was a major slap in the eye for all Americans, including legal immigrants.

If Harris becomes president, it is entirely possible that she will reopen the border and allow unrestricted entry illegal immigration for another four years. As with so many issues (reparations, EV mandates, sanctuary cities, etc.), she hasn’t told voters what she wants to do.

Guys – voting is both a duty and a right; If you don’t participate, you don’t get to grumble later about the outcome being “rigged” or “unfair.” If you don’t vote, Donald Trump will lose.
