Ohio voters will weigh in on key races US Senate And American Congress and decide Problem 1a constitutional amendment to decide how electoral boundaries are drawn.

Early in-person voting ended in record time around Greater Cincinnati on Sunday, according to local election officials.

“We had about 60,000 people vote early in person and we had another 20,000 or so votes cast by mail,” said Eric Corbin, deputy director of the Butler County Board of Elections.

“So that’s quite a few voters not going to the polls (Tuesday) in Butler County.”

If voters cannot provide valid identification, they can cast a provisional vote.

According to the Ohio Secretary of State, voters must then appear in person at their local county elections board within four days immediately after Election Day to provide such proof.

A provisional ballot is used to record a vote when a voter’s eligibility is in question and the voter would otherwise not be allowed to vote at his or her polling place.

The contents of a provisional ballot are no different from a regular ballot, but are cast “provisionally” until election officials can verify the voter’s eligibility to vote in that election in that precinct.

An estimated 60,000 people voted early in person in Butler County.

Ohioans can still return their absentee ballots in person to their local board of elections by Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

New this year, Ohio’s 24/7 DropBox will only be available to voters who return their own ballot.

If the voter is unable to drop off their own ballot, a family member can drop it off during board business hours, but they must sign a “Ballot Delivery Declaration Form.”

A Butler County sheriff’s deputy was parked in a cruiser near the drop box Monday afternoon and stood guard as voters dropped off ballots at the elections office in Fairfield Township.

Early in-person voting has also ended in both states, but you can still vote absentee until Tuesday at 6 p.m.

The polls opened at 6 a.m. and closed at 6 p.m
