Baltasar Ebang Engonga: Vice President of Equatorial Guinea suspends officials involved in sex scandal

Equatorial Guinea’s Vice President Teodoro Nguema has suspended all officials involved in sexual scandals within government offices and ministries.

Nguema announced that the government would take “serious measures” against such behavior.

The vice president announced this via his X-page.

The Vice President said the measure is part of a broader policy of zero tolerance for behavior that compromises the integrity of public services.

“Today we are proceeding with the immediate suspension of all officials who have had sexual relations in the offices of the country’s ministries.

“The government will take strict action against these acts as it constitutes a blatant violation of the Code of Conduct and the Public Ethics Act.

“Ethics and respect are fundamental in our government, and we will not allow irresponsible behavior to undermine public trust.

“Responsibility and professionalism must be the pillars of our work as servants of the state.”

This comes amid the sexual scandals involving the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency, ANIF, Baltasar Ebang Engonga.

Baltasar was caught on video having sexual intercourse with the wife of his brother, the cousin and the sister of the president of Equatorial Guinea.
