Ohio man wanted for rape and kidnapping in other states accused of drug trafficking in Priceville

PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – An Ohio man was arrested Monday on dangerous drug trafficking charges and nationwide warrants.

On November 4, Priceville police said they arrested 38-year-old Steven Ramone White of Cleveland, Ohio during a traffic stop.

The department said officers stopped a vehicle on southbound I-65 at mile marker 331 for improper lane use around 11:30 p.m.

PPD said as soon as officers approached the occupants of the vehicle, a narcotics field investigation began.

During the drug investigation, a quantity of fentanyl and marijuana was found in the car.

White was in the car and during the first stop, he gave a false identity to officers.

Officers determined that White was a “violent fugitive from justice with multiple active nationwide extradition warrants in multiple states for rape, kidnapping, sexual assault, intrusive coercive prostitution, and aggravated assault.”

White was arrested and additionally charged with trafficking in fentanyl, second-degree possession of marijuana and using a false identity to avoid/hinder prosecution.

White was taken to the Morgan County Jail, where he is being held without bond and awaiting a court order.
