Dr. Phil denies Trump’s endorsement and spoke at ‘Act of Rebellion’ rally

Just a week after delivering a speech at Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on October 27, Dr. Phil emphasized that he does not support Trump as president. His appearance at the event was previously an “act of rebellion” after Kamala Harris’ campaign reportedly rejected his offer to interview her.

“I asked to speak to Kamala Harris more than 25 times and never got a yes, no, maybe,” the television personality, whose real name is Phil McGraw, said in a new interview with Piers Morgan.

“I offered to give an identical speech at a Harris rally,” McGraw said, adding that he offered to “cross out Trump’s name and write in Harris’ name.” (In his seventeen-minute speech, McGraw also lambasted the media and cancel culture, and made his case for why Trump isn’t a “bully.”)

McGraw claimed that the morning after he spoke at Trump’s rally, a Harris campaign official contacted him about the possibility of speaking at a Harris rally in Washington, DC. McGraw said he responded to the Harris campaign: “Absolutely, tell me when and where to be, and I will take a transcript of the speech and give it at a Harris rally.

“I never heard another word when they found out I meant it,” McGraw said.

McGraw said he did not speak at the rally at Madison Square Garden “to support Donald Trump. I don’t like celebrities.”

“I’m not going back on what I said (at Trump’s rally), not one iota, not a word,” McGraw said, adding, “I would still go to a Harris rally and say the exact same thing.”

When asked by Morgan if he has decided who he will vote for, McGraw said: “I think so, but I will never tell.”

“Whoever it is, we are all Americans, and once that process has run its course and America elects a president … we need to stand behind that person and support him,” McGraw said, adding: “You must leave the office of respect the president. president.”

McGraw, a former psychologist who hosted the “Dr. Phil’ talk show from 2002 to 2023, appeared at Trump’s rally in New York and called the former president “as strong as an old army boot.”

“I can be honest and say that I don’t like or agree with everything Donald J. Trump does or says,” McGraw said at the meeting. “No person is perfect. We do not strive for perfection. We strive for excellence. But you don’t have to love everything about someone to love them, and the last thing they need is celebrity approval.”

He then became concerned about the way the media promotes celebrities. “I’d like to say it’s equal on both sides, but I guarantee you that if Beyonce, George Clooney, De Niro and Rizzo come out and say they’re for Kamala Harris, have you read or heard anything in the media in which criticism is expressed? It?” said McGraw. “No, but look what happens tomorrow morning when people find out I came here to talk to you.”
