100 Mile House RCMP are responding to single vehicle collisions and trailer thefts

Incidents part of 97 calls between October 29 and November 5

100 Mile House RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision in the 5000 block of Horse Lake Road as part of 97 calls for service they responded to between Oct. 29 and Nov. 5.

The incident was reported to the RCMP on Nov. 2, said Sgt. Brian Lamb in a press release. They attended EHS where they found the vehicle on the driver’s side in the west ditch.

RCMP said the sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries that were non-life threatening. RCMP added that the vehicle appeared to have left the roadway and entered the ditch, which then struck an elevated ramp, causing the vehicle to become airborne before coming to rest in the ditch. RCMP do not believe impairment was a factor and confirmed the cause of the collision is unknown.

Theft of a truck and a trailer

RCMP received two reports of suspected theft: the first report was received on Oct. 31 of a truck taken from the 5000 block of Park Drive. RCMP said the truck was a white 2007 Ford F350 with a BC license plate VM9231, plus a flat deck. Surveillance footage showed an unknown truck dropping off a person in the area at the time of the incident and RCMP believe that person took the vehicle. On November 3, the vehicle was found abandoned in Likely. RCMP said no further descriptors are available.

The second report of an alleged theft was received on November 2 from a trailer off Forest Ridge Road. RCMP said a black 2018 dump trailer with BC license plate 02407L was taken and surveillance footage showed a two-tone painted Ford pickup from the mid-1980s to 1990s towing the trailer from the area. The RCMP also said fuel was later taken from heavy equipment in the area. The trailer has not been found.

Disaster to a jeep

RCMP received one report of a mischief involving the slashing of tires on a 2015 Jeep Patriot in the parking lot in the 500 block of Cedar Avenue on Nov. 2, sometime between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

Breaking in and entering

On Nov. 2, RCMP received a report of an attempted burglary at a shed in the 6000 block of Horse Lake Road. RCMP said a door was partially kicked in, but it appeared no one entered. RCMP also said surveillance footage in the area showed a man arriving and leaving in what appeared to be a tan or gray colored Toyota Tundra.
