Another man, 50 years old, abused a woman on a public bus.

Six men, aged between 25 and 50, were charged in court on November 4, 2024 for their alleged involvement in separate cases of sexual assault.

One of them, 41 years old, is said to have abused a 13-year-old girl on April 24, 2024.

The incident reportedly took place in a hotel lobby on Temasek Boulevard.

The suspect was eventually arrested later the same day after police established his identity through follow-up investigations.

He was charged with one count of outraging the modesty of a person under 14 years of age.

50-year-old woman allegedly abused on the bus and the EZ-link card embezzled

In another case on June 13, 2024, a 50-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old woman on board a public bus.

Through follow-up investigations and with the help of police camera images, his identity was established and he was subsequently arrested.

Police investigation also revealed that he had allegedly misappropriated an Ez-Link card on another occasion.

He was charged with one count of outraging modesty and one count of dishonest misappropriation of movable property.

The remaining four men harassed women between the ages of 26 and 46

The men involved in the other four cases are alleged to have abused women between the ages of 26 and 46.

On August 24, 2024, a 33-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 26-year-old woman at a club on Bayfront Avenue, while on July 27, a 38-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 32-year-old man. old woman in a coffee shop along Jurong Gateway Road.

In addition, on July 4, a 25-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 46-year-old woman along South Bridge Road.

All three were arrested at the scene of the crime by police officers who were present at the incident.

In the remaining case, a 35-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 43-year-old woman at a coffee shop along Hougang Avenue 10 on January 18, 2024, and was subsequently arrested.

All four were charged with outraging modesty.

The offense of outrage or modesty towards a person under 14 years of age is punishable by imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years, a fine, caning or a combination of such penalties.

As for the offense of outrage out of modesty, it carries a penalty of imprisonment which may extend to three years, a fine, caning or a combination of such punishments.

Meanwhile, the crime of dishonest misappropriation of property carries a prison sentence of up to two years, a fine, or both.
